Live Oak Landing Reopens to Boaters

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. (WPMI) After a three month renovation, Baldwin County’s popular Live Oak Landing opened to the public again Tuesday.In just 12 days, Live Oak will be hosting the first Alabama Bass Trail Southern Division Tournament. The event is expected to darw 200 teams from across the southeast to the area.Sixty five years I’ve been fishing, probably since I was 7 or 8. It’s a big improvement and I belong to several different bass clubs, but I think it’s going to be great, said Ron Peacock.The county dedicated more than a million dollars. More than $100,000 of the cost was covered by BP grant funds.
